Success Stories: The Barak family

Noam's Big Day

The Barak family from Tiberias faced a terrible crisis after Uri, the father, was severely injured in the fighting in southern Israel and also suffered from PTSD. Months of hospitalization, surgeries, and rehabilitation turned daily life into a constant struggle.

As Noam's Bar Mitzvah approached, the family realized they could not afford any celebration. Noam, a quiet boy who never asked for much, accepted that he would simply give up his special day.

Then Lema'an Achai stepped in and arranged a hall, clothing, volunteers, music, photography, and even a rabbi to prepare Noam for his Torah reading.

On the night of the celebration, Uri entered the hall in his wheelchair to emotional applause. Noam ran to him and whispered, “Dad, thank you for coming. That's really all I wanted".

It wasn't just a Bar Mitzvah. It was the rescue of a child's heart and an entire family's spirit.
