Lema'an Achai has grown its trailblazing programs and successes, demonstrably improving the lives of hundreds of families around Israel each year. The time is right for the construction of the International Chesed Center in Beit Shemesh. This new, dynamic epicenter of kindness will feature dedicated space for all of Lema'an Achai's spheres of intervention, and will directly and dramatically impact our ability to assist our clients throughout Israel.
Our caseload of clients has increased by 50% in the last three years. For every four families that graduate, five new families join. In order to accommodate the services they require, and to help extricate them from the cycle of poverty, we need modern, expanded facilities.
The needs are great, and our ability to help our existing clients, as well as accept new ones, is severely limited by our physical constraints. Not only do we require additional space to help more and more hard-working families, we need to bring our different units under one roof; and we need to empower our volunteers to provide the maximum amount of assistance to our clients in an efficient manner.
