How can we make each shekel, work twice Businesses and Soldiers Benefit Tremendously
As the Swords of Iron War persists, both the Israeli small business sector and our soldiers need continued support.
We tasked ourselves with thinking creatively: how can we help the most people with each shekel raised?
Sword2Shekel purchases merchandise and services from small businesses which we then gift to soldiers. Both the businesses and soldiers benefit tremendously.
Small businesses are often owned and operated by the very same people called up to war. Managing a business from the battlefield is impossible.
In addition, small businesses based on tourism have been particularly hard hit. Tourist-based Israeli cities have become virtual ghost towns. Sword2Shekel provides a steady cash flow to keep these businesses alive.
Soldiers often receive direct services or products. In other cases, soldiers receive gift cards for a family vacation in once busy tourist locales. They bring general business to affected areas and keep small hotels, restaurants and shops afloat.
In all cases, everyone receives essential financial assistance and a morale boost.
Sword2Shekel partners with Lema’an Achai in creating a “Smart Chesed’’ system of tzedakah (charity).
