Critical Bill Assistance
We pay client critical bills (electricity, water, gas) once every six months thereby ensuring that essential utilities are not cut off.
Dental Clinic
Free emergency dental care, cleanings, fillings and dental hygiene education for adults and children.
Festival Aid
Additional help before the Jewish holidays which can take the form of succah building, Pesach cleaning, etc., as well as additional financial aid.
Food Distribution Programs
Four innovative food programs that help fight poverty and provide clients with appropriate nourishment.
School Supplies
School supplies are donated to the organization for distribution to clients at the beginning of the school year. |

Rehabilitation and Empowerment Services
Big Brother, Big Sister
Teaming-up teenagers and young adults with client children.
Club Moadon
Lema'an Achai's newest program provides after school educational support and extra-curricular activities for 4th grade girls between the hours of 2:30 and 5:30.
Financial Planning
A team of volunteer professional counselors assist clients in restructuring household budgets to meet means/needs.
Legal Aid
Volunteer lawyers help clients with legal crises such as chronic debt and alimony problems.
Social Work Team
Professional, compassionate, objective assessment and assistance for each and every client; case management and support.
Summer Camps
Subsidized summer camps for needy families during the summer vacation.
Therapy Unit
A dedicated team of psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists, including case-work supervision, meet with clients.
Tutoring
Ensures that client children receive extra help with schoolwork. |

Financial Seminars
In conjunction with Baruch Labinsky, Financial Planner with The Financial Resource Network we offer the Morris and Lilian Rae Rosen
Financial Seminars, a popular series of Household Budgeting Seminars.
Interest Free Loans
A local gemach (Free Loan Fund) which helps local residents (not only clients) meet financial obligations with easy repayment schedules and zero interest payments or index linkage.
JobLink
A program which tracks available local jobs so that the unemployed may find work. (Local Jobs for Local Needy). In addition, Lema'an Achai employs clients to work for other clients (such as tutors).
Patient Advocacy Unit
A program aimed at helping families cope with serious illness- both pre and post treatment.
Shemesh Shop
An official thrift shop located below Shefa Shuk in the Merkas Mischari of RBSA.. Store Hours are: Sun. and Tues. 10-12P.M. Mon. and Wed. 7:30-9:30P.M. This project, in cooperation with Yad Leah (www.yadleah.org) offers a wonderful service to the community at large and helps to fund Lema'an Achai's many programs.
