Thrift store shopping without stigmas? We created it!
The SHEMESHOP, servicing the Bet Shemesh area for over 15 years, combines in one unique store two of our favorite pastimes, shopping and chesed.
We are the largest beneficiary of Yad Leah, an USA based organization that collects high quality clothing and donates them to over 30 locations in Israel.
The concept is simple - purchase great clothes at bargain price- with the proceeds going to Lema'an Achai. All items in the store, which are donated through the generosity of organizations in the USA, are in good condition and only lightly used.
The Shemeshop attracts buyers from all backgrounds and walks of life, thereby removing any stigmas that some might have regarding shopping in such a store.
The store is managed and run by very dedicated volunteers. With prices for most items ranging anywhere from 5 to 20 shekels per item, the Shemeshop is a win-win situation for everyone.
The Shemeshop is located in the Ramat Beit Shemesh Matnas (upstairs), 16 Nachal Dolev and is open:
- Sundays: 9:30-12:30 and 16:30-19:30
- Mondays: 9:30-12:30 and 16:30-19:30
- Tuesdays: 9:30-12:30 and 16:30-19:30
- Wednesdays: 9:30-12:30 and 16:30-19:30
- Thursdays: 9:30-12:30
